Red Linen Kitchen Towel, Geometric Design, Heavyweight Flax Linen, Glasgow Cherry

Regular price $20.00

I hand printed this flax linen towel with my Glasgow motif in a bright cherry (and cheery!) red. I am crazy about this chevron pattern because it is a classic design that fits well into both modern and traditional kitchens and baths. I've printed it with a sponged design, rather than solid. This gives it a more rustic look. These flax linen towels are generous in size and will last many generations. I enjoy using them in my own kitchen and powder room every day. They also make a lovely liner for a tray or buffet. They dry quickly and don't get that unpleasant musty smell that terry cloth towels can.

Glasgow linens can be custom ordered in a wide range of hues. Send me an email if there's someone special on your gift list who'd enjoy a custom color.

  • Size: 27" by 18" wide (approx. 71 cm by 43 cm)
  • Hue: bright red
  • Fibers: 100% flax linen
  • Technique: hand painted with permanent fiber reactive dyes
  • Hand made in Virginia
  • preshrunk and colorfast
  • wash in warm water; tumble or air dry

I prefer to use fiber reactive dyes rather than textile ink or paint. Fiber reactives dyes form a strong chemical bond with the natural fibres, and will not rub off or fade like screenprinted towels can do.

Line dry for a crisp finish, tumble dry for a softer hand. Avoid fabric softener, as this will reduce the ability of the linen to absorb water.
