This certified organic cotton gauze is a very unique fabric. It starts out as a sheer loosely woven organic cotton. After washing and drying, it crinkles up beautifully. All of the photos are after washing! This fabric would be fabulous for curtains or sheer garments. You could use this to make a stunning blouse, dress, or skirt. Also wonderful for scarves!

  • this fabric does shrink considerably! Expect shrinkage in range of 2-3" per every yard. This is a function of the fabric crinkling.
  • this gauze has a crisper feel than voile or cheesecloth; great for costumes or applications where some stiffness and texture are required
  • Wonderful fabric for crafting, sewing and home decor

  • This fabric is certified organic to the G.O.T.S. What does that mean? Here are a few highlights:
  1. cotton seed is not genetically modified
  2. organic cotton fibers do not come into contact with conventional fibers in any step of production
  3. waste water is treated in fully functional waste water treatment plant
  4. packaging materials do not contain PVC
  5. final product meets stringent requirements for absence of toxic residue
  6. no chlorine bleach, formaldehyde or heavy metals used in processing
  7. Social criteria in place to ensure safe, healthy, non-abusive, nondiscriminatory labor environment with living wages; fair and safe labor practices are maintained
