Zaire Hand Dyed 54 count Hemp Linen Fabric for Embroidery

Regular price $15.00

Kinshasa is a palette of warm, bright hues. This hemp linen fabric is hand dyed using fiber reactive dyes, the highest quality fiber dyes available. Fiber reactive dyes are safe to use and permanent. Best of all, the dye bonds permanently with the cotton fibers, so you don't have to worry that the dye will rub off. JacksonFabricArts takes extra steps to ensure our fabrics our colorfast, too.
  • Kinshasa is a warm orange yellow
  • Kisangani is a warm deep orange
  • Kolwezi is a pinkish red
We use eco-friendly 100% hemp fabric, woven in an evenweave method, for this embroidery fabric.
  • Linen is fantastic for garment sewing or small projects like bags
  • Hues are: Kinshasa, Kolwezi, and Kisangani
  • three colors coordinate perfectly together
  • 100 percent hemp fabric
  • Linen even weave fabric; equal warp and weft threads per inch
  • Preshrunk and colorfast

Why use hemp linen? Hemp is also an eco-conscious alternative to conventional cotton. Hemp is a fiber that can be grown with far fewer pesticides, herbicides and water than cotton. It grows quickly and chokes out weeds growing around it. It is considered to be one of the most sustainable fibers currently available.

You can use my fabrics with confidence, knowing they will not bleed color or pucker from shrinking after you sew with them.
